Relationships are a huge part of life and everyone usually wants to be "Boo'd" up! We are sure that no one wants to be alone forever and we all want to find our soulmate. Sometimes people rush into relationships and then they become unhealthy! Today, this Varietea Talk blog will be over being content in your singleness, dating, and maintaining a healthy relationship when you do run into a guy or girl that you may think is "the one".

Living the Single Life !

The good ole single life!!! There are many people who absolutely hate being single. They see cute relationships and wish that they had a relationship of their own. Many people in their 20's feel like they should already have a secure relationship and should be looking to settle down and get married because it is the norm thing to do in our society. Because of this, many people go out LOOKING for their soulmate. Unfortunately, looking for a soulmate won't do you any good and if you do "find" someone, more than likely they aren't the right person for you. This is where being content in your singleness comes in.

Being content in your singleness means being happy with being by yourself, enjoying your life, and NOT looking for anything. Instead, you wait for things to happen naturally. EMBRACE YOUR SINGLENESS!! Take the time to get to know yourself, understand what you want in a man or a woman as a potential spouse, and love yourself!! Go to restaurants by yourself, to the movies by yourself, do more of what you want to do BY YOURSELF. Establish the life that you want and then along the way if someone wants to be a part of that then you have the power to allow them in or not. Make sure that you take some time to live for yourself because there is so much more to life than finding a spouse! Once you have found peace with being single, it makes being in a relationship so much easier.

NEXT STEP: DATING

Dating can be fun but also hard. It's a chance to see if you really like a person. This is a chance to pick their brain, find out more about their personality, and find out what they are looking for in a partner. Dating does not mean that you are committing to a person. You guys are simply going out. If you don't like that person then don''t worry about it! They weren't the person for you and that is okay. This is what dating is all about! When going on a date it is always good to be genuine and kind. After talking with the person for a bit, you may realize that you don't really like them that much but that's no reason to be rude. It may have taken a lot of courage for someone to approach you and ask you out!

MEN: PAY FOR THE WOMAN'S MEAL ON THE FIRST DATE! IT IS COURTEOUS AND THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO AS A MAN!

WOMEN: THANK THE MAN FOR PAYING FOR YOUR MEAL AND TAKING YOU OUT! IT'S COURTEOUS AND SHOWS THAT YOU ARE APPRECIATIVE!

"In its purest form, dating is auditioning for mating (and auditioning means we may not get the part)". - Joey Browne

tips to maintain a Healthy relationship from Hannah and Chris

Maintaining a healthy relationship with your partner is very important. You're allowing a person to share their life with you and you want to share your life with someone that deserves and respects you whole-heartedly! Here are 5 awesome tips to help you along in your relationship!!

Tip 1: Netflix together! Or do whatever you want, just find a relaxing activity for the two of you that prioritizes your time together.

Tip 2: Communicate! Find your love languages, learn how you fight and draw boundaries for more effective communication to prevent and facilitate arguments.

Tip 3: Be open minded! You're sharing a lot of time with another person so they're not going to always think the same- be open to their perspectives and respect/learn from their individuality. Learn and grow from each other!

Tip 4: Be your weirdest self! You might as well if life's gonna be any fun, take your time getting to know them and be comfortable in your weirdness around each other.

Tip 5: Friendship first! At the end of the day if your relationship is based around friendship and trust the other stuff is easier to maintain.

XOXO,

Hannah,Chris, and Alexis
